What is Cars 101?

Cars 101 is your one stop basic maintenance course!

We at Baldivis Academy of Driving have developed a comprehensive introduction to basic automotive maintenance course. 

 

This course is to cater to anyone wanting to know how to carry out the essential maintenance items on their cars to ensure they are safe, roadworthy and to save time and money!

What is included in the course?

 

The course covers a wide range of topics including;

​

  • Safety around cars

​

  • Short weekly checks (fluids, tyre pressures, punctures etc)

​

  • Long checks (the sort of things to check before a road trip)

​

  • How to inflate your tyres to the correct pressure

​

  • How to check tread wear

​

  • The correct method to jack up a car using the supplied jack

​

  • How to correctly change a tyre

What to expect on the day and pricing.

Our day will start at 7:50am and the course will take approximately 4 hours.

​

We will provide everything on the day including safety equipment, cars, tools, work booklet and refreshments.

​

You Also receive a Baldivis Academy of Driving tote bag of goodies for you to keep (Valued at $30!)

  • All the skills required for you to best look after your car and ensure it is safe to be on the road.

​

  • Basic tips and tricks to make sure that you understand the "jargon" mechanics use when taking your car in for a service so they don't take advantage of you.

  • How to safely conduct basic maintenance on your own vehicle including how to correctly use the supplied jack, wheel chocks, tow points etc.

​

  • How to correctly and safely change a flat tyre on the side of the road using a simple step-by-step method.
